With emergence of PSG as true heavyweight of European football and the money poured by qatari group in Paris, the French Ligue 1 has automatically taken a lot of limelight compared to previous decades. French Ligue 1 is the premier division of French football pyramid and now widely considered as one of the top 5 leagues around europe. Big TV rights deal not only in native France but globally has put this league on the world map and if it continue to grow as it has done over the last 10 years it can really match the likes of Premier League and La Liga.

But the positive things of Qatari money also comes with issues in the league regarding competitive nature. In 2021/22 season after 8 league games in France, PSG are leading by 7 points and we can already see them winning the league without having to really push for it. That might be a problem in long run as it becomes very predictable with PSG winning the title every year.

However if other clubs like Lyon, Moncao, Lille can compete with PSG and also in European cup competitions like Champions League this league can group from strength to strength.
